We need to help young people understand their experiences and behaviours are valid. But they also need guidance to make positive changes to manage emotions and move forward. Together, they are Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Some Other Solutions is pleased to be facilitating a 6-week group session with 13-16 year olds. This series will also include two additional sessions for parents to learn how to support their children.
This is a skills group based on DBT principles. Topics and skills development will include:

Facilitator
Donna Pruski is a registered social worker with a Masters in social work and two undergraduate degrees in social work and psychology. Currently an instructor at Keyano College, Donna has more than 20 years’ experience working in child and adolescent mental health in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She is passionate about group work with youth and has extensive training, supervision and experience in doing both psychotherapy and psycho-educational groups with adolescents.
